Any prospective members must be proposed or seconded by a member of the current Committee and another full member of WATL Inc., neither proposer nor seconder to be employed by the same organization as the prospective member.  Proposers and seconders for new members must have been members of WATL Inc. for at least twelve months.  The acceptance of the prospective member is subject to approval of the Committee.  The Committee has the absolute right at its discretion of accepting or refusing application for membership of WATL Inc. and shall not be required to give reasons for refusing an application for membership.There are four (4) membership categories:  Full member, Honorary member, Student member and Associate member.

Membership Levels

Full - is open to women who are actively engaged in selling and/or promoting travel and tourism and have been employed in the industry for a minimum period of twelve (12) months. Only these members have voting rights and may be elected to office

Associate - is open to any female or male individual, organization and corporate entity supportive of the travel and tourism industry.  Associate  members have no voting rights. 

Student - is open to those who have been enrolled in an Accredited  travel or tourism course for a minimum period of 6 months. They have no voting rights.

Honorary - may be appointed at the discretion of the Committee.Such persons must be nominated and seconded by  members.  They have no voting rights.  Honorary members who meet the WATL Inc. full membership criteria and wish to retain voting rights may do so by continuing to pay their WATL dues.  Past Presidents, who are no longer actively employed in the travel may be granted honorary membership.
